Tasks in case of fire
- Put on the yellow vest
- Evacuate those who have not left the area

If someone is in a burning room, consider the situation and your own risk. Call for help (55 97 22 22)
Try to get an overview of the staff / students gathered at the venue point
See here for more information and link to fire related forms
Tasks when ventilation fails
- In cooperation with the contact person (one for each floor) assess the necessity to evacuate the laboratories.
- Encourage people to leave the area.
- Mark the laboratories as closed.
- If necessary, obtain information about the downtime (duration and scope).
- Consider when it is safe to enter the laboratory.
- Return to the laboratories depends on how long the ventilation has been out of operation. (It is recommended that you wait between 15 and 60 minutes after normal operation is reported.)
Ongoing tasks
- Conducting and logging escape routes, self-closing doors, emergency showers and eye flushes
- Report to HSE Coordinator on conditions that may have an impact on fire safety
- Give new employees, students and visitors an introduction to fire safety at the department. They should be given information about escape routes, meeting places, fire extinguishing equipment, emergency showers, emergency response boxes and fire protection training.
The tasks apply within the site managers own area of responsibility
